Clay figurines in the Bible Lands Museum’s permanent exhibition have inspired the design of these solid silver spoons. The pillar figurines, symbols of fertility, are characterized by an elongated, pillar shaped lower body. Dating from Ca. 2750-1900 B.C.E., they were found in Syria and Mesopotamia.
