This publication describes one of the most important artifacts in the collection of this Museum. Dating from the time of Abraham, it reveals the cultural and religious rituals from the ancient city of Larsa, neighboring Ur, in what is today Southern Iraq. This unique cuneiform tablet sheds light on the beliefs and practices of the ancient Babylonians. This tablet is the only known example of a text recording the daily routine followed in the temples of the capital city of Larsa, which was the seat of a mighty kingdom in the early second millennium B.C.E.
