Exclusive Bar / Bat Mitzvah programs

Connecting the Chain of Generations

The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem invites you to celebrate your Bar/Bat Mitzva with original and interactive programs for your family and friends.

The event will take place in the unique surroundings of the core and special exhibitions at the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem and will include fun and fascinating activities for your family and friends.

For Bnei Mitzva:

We invite the children to travel through time: experience a journey to foreign lands and ancient times.
An adventurous tour with games and riddles will lead the children to new discoveries through our rare artifacts all around the Museum.
Participate in a creative art workshops and create a souvenir from their magical event.

Participation fee for the tour: 35 Nis per child
Participation fee for the tour and workshop: 40 Nis per child

For friends and family:
A.
Take a specially themed guided tour through the Museum: the Parashat HaShavua, Holidays, or specific characters from the bible. There is an option to add an additional crafts activity for the younger children during the tour.
The tours are specially customized for every event.

B. A "treasure hunt" that sends the whole family traveling through time. The tour includes adventures and games leading the family members to new and exciting discoveries throughout the Museum.

Participation fee for the tour: 35 Nis.
Group participation fee for a guided tour on the day of the event in the Musuem's garden/hall: 350 Nis.

Special opportunity – Become the guide!

The museum offers the opportunity for the young Bar or Bat Mitzvah to lead their family and guests for a portion of the tour in addition to the guide.
The Bar/Bat Mitzva meets with the staff for three preparatory meetings. The meetings include choosing the different locations unique to the Bar/Bat Mitzva where he/she can elaborate about the different pieces from the display. Together, they decide on a theme for the tour and study different techniques and skills to perform in front of a crowd.
The Bar/Bat Mitzva is encouraged to dress as one of the Biblical characters chosen, they can be Abraham, Moses Prince of Egypt, King Solomon, Sarah, Queen Esther, Miriam the Prophet and more…
Fee for preparation: 350 Nis.

Children's group – up to 25 participants per group
Each Adult group – up to 35 participants per guide

"Seven Species Garden" (Fit for a maximum of 450 people)- this garden has a magical feel and is ideal for musical concerts, singing events, wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvas.
