“The Image of Abraham”
Meetings between Arab and Jewish children
This special project brings together Jewish and Arab school children, their teachers and parents, in an effort to bridge cultural gaps and overcome negative stereotypes. The program is based on understanding our common heritage through the project's themes which are inspired by Abraham/Ibrahim, Patriarch to Jews, Christians and Muslims, who bequeathed values of honesty and the aspiration for peace among neighbors. The project encourages communication and a greater understanding of our shared cultural heritage while promoting understanding of our similarities and teaching the participants to respect of their differences; a vital ingredient for building a future where peaceful coexistence can be realized.
Visiting the Temporary Exhibitions
We offer a variety of guided tours of the Museum's temporary exhibitions; can also be combined with a visit to the Permanent Exhibition. Advance reservations recommended for all tours.
“Glories of Ancient Greece”
Greek culture, from its roots in the Minoan period 4,000 years ago, up until the revelation of its more familiar side in classical Greek art, is exposed in an impressive collection of pottery and jewelry. The exhibit deconstructs Greek culture, including Greek art and its sources of inspiration, as well as the mythological stories hidden between the beautiful brush strokes on the classical Greek vases.
