  2. Join us for a unique creative experience exploring the ancient art of printmaking—a craft with roots stretching back to prehistoric times.
    Part one: gallery tour & ancient inspiration (40 minutes)
    Led by museum guide Roni Bar Sheshet, we’ll explore the museum’s remarkable seal collection, which inspired the exhibition “You Left Your Mark on Me” (part of the Outline Festival currently on display).
  1. Discover the diverse types of seals used in the ancient world, How these objects functioned in daily life and trade,
    What symbols and designs represented to ancient cultures.
    The connection between ancient seal-making and contemporary printmaking techniques.

Part Two: Hands-On Studio Workshop (2.5 hours)
Under the expert guidance of artist Dana Shamir, you’ll create your own carved rubber stamps inspired by the rich, enchanting imagery from the ancient seals you’ve just encountered.
Learn relief printing techniques and take home your original creations—unique artistic stamps that bridge millennia of human creativity.

About the Artist: Dana Shamir is an award-winning illustrator and printmaking artist. She studied at IED Milan and Il Bisonte in Florence, and her work has been exhibited throughout Europe and Israel. Winner of the prestigious “Golden Cut” award for graphic design, Dana teaches illustration and printmaking at Shenkar College, Minshar School of Art, and the University of Haifa.
