The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem invites the public to come together in reflection and song, honoring the stories of Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror.
19:00 | Talk & Reflection
Dr. Emmanuel Gillis, a bereaved brother who lost his brother Shmuel Gillis in a terror attack during the Intifada, will share his story—about his brother’s life and the ways he commemorates him through action and a choice to embrace life.
The evening will begin in the exhibition “As Soon as the War Is Over”, where the story of the Trojan War brings us face to face with the shared pain of bitter enemies—Agamemnon and Achilles—mourning their loved ones lost in war. From this point, we return to our own reality, reflecting on loss and coping.
20:00 | Circle of Song & Remembrance
Led by Maor Wahav – a Jerusalem-based musician and cultural entrepreneur, and Coral Iluk – singer and creator.
Together, through guitar and song, they will guide a circle of remembrance that creates a meaningful space for connection—to both grief and hope.
